Slot Canyon Swirls Antelope Canyon, Arizona

Antelope Canyon is a beautiful slot canyon located on Navajo land near the nice town of Page, Arizona. The slot canyon is formed by flash flooding. The rainwater runs into the basin area above the canyon picks up sand and rushes into the canyon. This erodes the sandstone away and forms the beautiful swirls and formations in the canyon. Antelope Canyon is the most visited and photographed slot canyons in the american southwest. I would appreciate any comments or critique and thanks for looking,

Very nice work as usual Gail. It’s very abstract, and almost looks like the petals of a rose .Yor really captured the texture of the sandstone.

That looks so surreal, before I read any text on it, I thought it was a painting or something. Nicely done. :)

Gorgeous pictures. I am a photographer as well, and it never ceases to amaze me how many beautiful shots there are out there. My camera is my constant companion most days, as I like to be prepared for anything. I do mostly Stock Photography (objects and what not), but love doing Landscapes and nature shots as well.

Side note; How lucky are we all to live on such a beautiful planet (also fortuitously graced with the existence of a relatively large moon)?

Simply beautiful. That bit of light creeping in from the top, the fluid flow of the rock wall… you caught it well.

I’d love to have this photo to put in my living room. Can I buy a print, or an electronic copy I could print?
