Oak Leaves Close Up In Black and White

macro Black and White Oak Leaves Close Up copyright Gale Rainwater

I was out one misty morning doing some macro photography and found these oak leaves on the ground. I haven’t converted many of my images into black and white but I kind of liked the way this one looked. Any comments or critique is appreciated.

Almost reminds me of a satellite photo of Earth…the veins almost look like rivers.

I think the deep richness of the black tones make this an interesting image to study.

That is a beautiful pic. I love black and white. It’s a very clear, crisp photo, and I like that.

Great macro shot! I think macro is my personal favourite photography form, there’s so much beauty around us that we do not notice because we don’t look close enough. Also good choice on shooting in black and white, emphasises the texture well.
