Hello my first day in Grand Canyon was a beautiful snowy day. The only thing is the entire canyon was filled with a foggy cloud and you could not see anything down in the canyon. Finally right at dusk it began to clear. I headed for the rim and shot this image east of Mather Point. I was dissappointed there wasn’t more snow down in the canyon itself. With the great depth of the Grand Canyon it is much warmer at the bottom there wasn’t much sticking down there. Thanks for looking and any comments or votes are appreciated.

Your pictures are always so breath-taking!
They make me smile and wonder how long have you been taking pictures.
As a matter of fact, there are so many questions I’d like to ask.
I was pondering on taking up photography, I think I’ve got a good eye but, I wouldn’t know where to start.
You’re inspiring!
Wow, you did it again. Amazing!
Hi Gale,
Your photos are stunning, absolutely stunning. I need to plan my trip to the Grand Canyon now. -Mike.
Gale, this is the most beautiful view of the Grand Canyon. I had privelage to visit once during summer season, however, it was cold there, lol, and I tell you one of the most powerful views. Thanks for sharing, Anna
Amazing pictures -best nature photography I’ve ever seen. You have a rare gift.

wonderful image of the Grand Canyon. An awsome view without the snow but extra special with. WOW
I’m speechless…it’s more than just amazing!
Very nice! Actually the only time I’ve seen the Grand Canyon it started snowing while we were there, too. Ironically we’d taken the road trip from Canada to get AWAY from that stuff. We ended up snowed in in Flagstaff for a day & a half. Although they’d closed the roads, the depth of snow certainly wasn’t anything WE weren’t already completely familiar & relatively comfortable with! *L*
Namaste’ Gale, thank you for bringing me on this journey! for some reason when I look at this scene I feel myself separating from my body , and lifting away ever higher to dance. Metta!
