They kind of remind me of the cherry blossom trees I have seen pics of in china. Wow. Interesting that you noticed how Bradford pears have escaped cultivation- They could become North America's next big invasive species. It looks like this is a nice prairie ecosystem- I wonder how long it might take before the pears, if an when, fill this field. Something definitely to keep your eye on!
